be still in haste

Be Still in Haste
by Wendell Berry
How quietly I
begin again
from this moment
looking at the
clock, I start over
so much time has
passed, and is equaled
by whatever
split-second is present
from this
moment this moment
is the first

  1. Such sweet innocence - and a cutie too :) It's so wonderful how children of this age are always in the present moment, moment to moment. No thought of past or future, just focusing on this, whatever is at hand... Love it... Gives me encouragement for the day - to look at it differently - with the eyes of innocence...

  2. What a precious image for this Wendell Berry poem, Ruth. It's an "eternalized moment" for me.

Welcome. If you would like to say something, rest assured that I will respond in my self, even if I do not respond in word.
