not that there is a why do we have free will but rather that we have it, the question becomes (i just wrote this to james moments ago) beyond whether there is a meaning or not to life which comes to us from the outside, but whether we choose to live our lives with angst or gratitude.
I completely agree, it is how we choose to live, this is where the meaning lies. We can't always choose our circumstances, but we can choose the path of our mind-heart.
Yes, Boots!! I had a discussion with Don about this quote on our way back home last night (from his sister's birthday party). At first he didn't understand it. But it makes total sense to me, and did to him after I told my side. :)

This quote is probably truer than we think, dear Ruth. My guess is that if it were the one prayer on everyone's lips, the world would be...heaven!
