freedom

“The really important kind of freedom involves attention, and awareness, and discipline, and effort, and being able truly to care about other people and to sacrifice for them, over and over, in myriad petty little unsexy ways, every day.”

  1. I absolutely love the photo! It speaks so deeply of the fluid dance of life, the dance of shadow and light; the ripples of the mind.

  2. WOW! I really like the way Wallace thinks!

And your image is almost haunting (even though I saw the bottoms of tin cans!).

  3. you've got to know this is one of your strongest images (for me). but i can not receive it with the wallace quote. it speaks solitude for me and right now i have such a difficult time with others, even those i love. I have to end the sentence after the caring part, or all else breaks down for me. but this is my own shortcoming.
